About Arcade

Arcade’s mission is to empower the Product Led Growth Economy. We aspire to support the future generation of founders and products by raising the bar for product excellence, and in turn providing economic freedom to builders.

We want to pioneer the concept of Demo Driven Development by giving users the visibility into why, how, and where users get value from their products.

Culturally, we are a team of ex Atlassians, AngelList, and Shopify teammates — we believe in empowering the end user, and unifying companies around the needs of the end user. We believe that we have the potential to change how software companies work.

What you’ll do

We are currently a team of 6. You'll be the 4th engineer. Rich (our CTO) is a seasoned engineer with many years of experience working in this industry. Charlie and Ben are amazing senior engineers also with many years experience. You’ll be working alongside the 3 of us. Aleks ensures that the Arcade experience is top-notch. Nigel keeps the business humming. And last, but not least, Caroline is our fearless leader. You'll play a big part in this small team and help us continue to make an already awesome product even better.

Your role will be versatile, moving between different UIs and product interfaces.

Who you are

First and foremost, you’re someone who not only enjoys the idea of building something from scratch, but is also very capable of it. Many engineers cut their teeth at large companies working on interesting and tough problems, but when you take some of those engineers and throw them into a position to innovate from a blank slate, they struggle. We want someone who is thirsty to build, iterate, and ship at speed and loves it. We’re not hardcore, but we very much care about building something that users love. On the front-end, our stack is heavily Jamstack-based: NextJS, Typescript, Firestore, and all the good things that come with that. On the back-end, we use GCP (Firestore, Cloud Functions, PubSub, IdP, and a few other services) and AWS (Aurora).
